We meet you at Awang harbour and run twenty-five minutes across to Ekas Bay — reef passes most people only see on a map, a skipper who reads the tide off the cliffs, and you back on the sand by sunset.
Daily surf shuttle & lessons
Ekas, Melody, Kura Kura and the reefs in between are twenty-five minutes from Awang harbour by boat — and three hours by road, if the road even gets you there. We leave every morning with the tide.
Drop-off and pick-up at the spot that's working best on the day. The skipper calls it from the swell, the wind and the tide — not from a schedule.
Uncrowded reef waves and a coach in the water with you. Beginners start on the mellow inside; intermediates work on reading the reef and paddling into steeper takeoffs.
Surfing as a group of four or more? Ask about a private boat for the day — you decide when to move and when to stay.
Fishing & spearfishing
The reefs that make the waves also hold the fish. Mid-morning, once the surf goes soft, we drop the anchor and go looking — trolling on the way out, spearfishing on the drop-offs, hand-lining over the coral heads.
Spearfishing runs with Eye to Sea. No experience needed on the surface — if you can snorkel, you can come. Certified freedivers get taken to the deeper ledges.
Four hours on the reefs off Awang and Ekas with a guide who dives them every week. Gear, boat and briefing included — bring a hat.
The signature trip
Sunrise to sunset on the east coast of Lombok. Six spots on the table, two sessions in the water, one lunch cooked on board — and a stretch of coast most visitors never see from the land side.

Boards loaded, coffee in hand, lines off. Twenty-five minutes along the cliffs while the skipper picks the first stop.
07:00 · Session one
Two to three hours on whichever reef is holding the cleanest swell. The boat stays on the shoulder — get in, get out, move on when it drops.
11:30 · Anchored in the bay
Whole fish over coals, rice, sambal, fresh fruit. Eaten on the deck with the anchor down in flat water.
14:00 · Session two
New tide, new spot. Usually the one nobody else can reach — the reason this trip exists.
17:30 · Back to Awang
The last hour of light across the bay, board shorts still wet, everybody quiet.

At Awang harbour, about thirty minutes by scooter from Kuta. Send a message on WhatsApp the day before and we'll drop you the exact pin — the harbour is easy to reach but the parking spot is not obvious the first time. If you'd rather not ride, we can arrange transport from Kuta for an extra fee.
No. Ekas Bay holds a wave for every level on the same tide: soft, forgiving inside sections where beginners stand up on their first morning, and steep reef walls further out for people who have surfed for years. Tell us where you're at when you book and the skipper picks accordingly.
You pay nothing. There's no deposit and no prepayment — you settle up when you arrive, or after the session. If the skipper calls it off in the morning, you owe us nothing and we find you another day.
Cash in Indonesian rupiah, on the day. No card machine, no bank transfer, no booking fee. There's an ATM in Kuta — bring what you need before you ride out, there's nothing at the harbour.
Up to twelve guests, fourteen with the crew. Most mornings there are far fewer. If you're a group of four or more and want the boat to yourselves, ask about a private charter — you decide when to move and when to stay.
Sunscreen, a hat, a towel, a rash vest if you burn, and cash. Drinking water and dry storage are on the boat. Bring your own board if you travel with one — otherwise Kolega Surf Shop in Kuta rents good equipment and fixes dings the same day.
Usually yes. Message us on WhatsApp with your date and how many of you there are — we come back within the hour with the forecast and the spot. In July and August the boat fills faster, so give us a couple of days if you can.
Plenty. The fishing and spearfishing trips run on the same reefs, and on the day trip there's snorkelling, a beach to sit on and grilled fish at lunch while the others are in the water. Nobody has to paddle out.
